At Houston Elementary, we have high academic and behavioral expectations for all of our students. For the past five years, we have implemented Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) to promote a positive learning environment. We also support a response to intervention program, Tigers Learn Continuously (TLC), to address all of our students’ learning needs from enrichment to remediation.
We pride ourselves, at Houston Elementary, on being a learning community. We will continue to implement research-based best teaching practices on a consistent basis. We believe that collaboration between teachers, parents, and administration is the key to making our students successful. We will continue to work diligently to foster an atmosphere that promotes academic excellence, trust, respect, community involvement and recognition of achievement.
