We are excited to welcome you to the 2023-24 school year at HMS. Our mission is "expecting excellence, learning for all." Our vision is that we will create success with P.R.I.D.E. (Positivity, Responsibility, Integrity, and Determination Everyday). We take pride in providing our students with a future ready focus and a positive, safe learning environment.
Houston Middle School serves students in grades 6-8 and offers a variety of courses. In addition to core courses from math, science, communication arts and science, they will also have the opportunity to participate in family and consumer science, agriculture, technology, art, music, choir, band, physical education, health, career exploration, interventions and Spanish. Students are also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities: football, cheerleading, cross country, volleyball, track and field, basketball, softball, baseball, drama, Beta and Student Council.
