ABOUT US

The Houston R-1 School District, home of the Tigers, is located in Texas County, Missouri, and sits within the heart of the Ozarks in South Central Missouri.

TIGER TIDBITS:

•We serve about 1,070 students in grades PreK-12.

•Our district is divided into elementary (PreK-5), middle school (6-8) and high school (9-12).

•The Tiger Fieldhouse, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, holds 1,500 spectators and hosts many events and tournaments.

•The Early Childhood Center is an expansion of our pre-K education. It launched in August 2022.

•The Piney River Technical Center on campus offers specialized training in business, welding, health services, building trades, agriculture and consumer sciences.
